Political Advisor–content and communications

Are you a fan of politics? Do you run on adrenaline? Are you looking to experience something extraordinary? Join the Quebec Liberal Party head office team as a Political Advisor–content and communications.

The mandate:

  • Drafting and grouping together key messages from the Quebec Liberal Party’s election platform for candidates and organizers;

  • Preparing information documents on current events, ensuring their validation with the parliamentary wing’s research department and making suggestions of variations in collaboration with the head office’s communications team;

  • Act as a liaison between the Liberal parliamentary wing’s content and research department, as well as the Party’s National Policy Committee and its head office communications team;

  • Feed and update the database of the QLP election promises and political resolutions, as well as those of its opponents (where possible);

  • Coordinate work undertaken by the policy committee, seniors’ committee and cultural communities’ committee.

Profile required:

  • Technology is second nature to you;

  • You excel at writing and have an impeccable command of the French language;

  • You’re quick on your feet and able to work on the fly;

  • You have good judgment and are able to act with discretion;

  • Your loyalty is beyond reproach;

  • You have solid people skills, you know how to be a team player and how to remain calm in stressful situations;

  • You respect your colleagues, are open-minded and like to challenge yourself;

  • You master both spoken and written English;

  • You are autonomous and do not need to be told what to do in order to demonstrate initiative.

Benefits:

  • 35h/week position, variable schedule (evenings and weekends, as needed);

  • Remote working possible, if needed;

  • Cellular phone compensation of up to $70 per month;

  • Group insurance and RRSP after 3 months;

  • Laptop computer provided (MacBook);

  • 3 weeks of annual vacation and+ 2 weeks of holiday vacation (5 weeks in total).
